Pocket Full of Posies

I recently saw a professional photo of some red tulips sticking out of the pocket of someone's jeans. Since my living room and bedroom are decorated in red, white, and blue, I decided to turn the idea into a wall hanging.  I had all items on hand...The frame was a yard sale purchase, and was missing its glass...perfect for this project.  I had a pair of jeans that didn't fit, and I had some leftover artificial flowers from an old arrangement.  I don't see why this wouldn't work as well with real flowers...simply line the pocket with a waterproof zip lock bag, add either water or wet floral foam, and add fresh flowers. I might try this once my garden gets blooming in a few months.

snowyowl writes: I loved this. I have made things like this for Christmas and for the garden. with arrangements in the pocket and rope or wire to hang them. I decorate the pocket too. I also use the pocket for a note pad holder for the frig too with a magnet glued on the back. This would look great in the garden too or on the porch too. Nice idea. Posted: 8:44 am on March 4th

I love how you said that you had seen a pic with flowers sticking out of jean pockets and came up with this in your mind! I also have 2 or more pictures that sometimes "collide" in my mind and come up with a very unique item! Thanks for sharing your great ideas. Di Posted: 3:13 pm on March 3rd
