Repurposed Sewing Machine Drawers Twin Wall Organizers
December 11th, 2012 in member junk
I picked up these wooden panels a little while back at an estate sale. I think they might be doors to the top of an armoire maybe or some sort of cabinet. I've been looking for more ways to use vintage sewing machine drawers and came up with these wall organizers pairing the drawers and the wood panels. I cut three drawers in half and used them in triplets on each board. At the bottom I used the flip-out drawer usually inside the front of vintage sewing machines. I added the number plaques and the vintage measuring cloth ribbon/tape to bring in more of an industrial vibe. They measure 18" x 41". This is the first piece I've used the Modern Masters silver paint on. I thought I had a big crush on chalk paint -- I'm in love with MM metallic color series. AND is water based for easy cleanup!
