Keep Calm & Fish On

I have seen these Keep Calm signs all over the internet and LOVED them!  So I decided to try my hand at a few for Christmas Gifts.
I am a stock piler from way back, and have a collection of solid wood cabinet doors from the Habitat for Humanity Restore (I buy them when they are on sale for $1 each).
I primed and painted the orange one for my fishing obsessed 10 year old son!  I bought the wooden bass of eBay for a couple of dollars.  Orange is his favorite color...check out his fish chair I posted earlier!
The pink one was for my Metal Head USN Sailor Brother David (hot pink and black are his fav colors)!  (I showed his bed that I painted for Christmas).  I have few pics of my brother not throwing the "Rock On" hand I included one that is precious to me...this was the last photo he sent me as he was flying to Afghanistan last year.
It is because of this young man with the generous heart that I started a non-profit organization in support of our Wounded Warriors on Deployment in Afghanistan!  For more info on what we do go to

gamecockchic writes: I LOVE THESE! Please, please, please let me copy again! I have gotta make a fish one for my son. His birthday is in March and this will be so cute in his "fishing bathroom". This is definitely one of those posts that I read and think, "Why didn't I think of that?" I'm sure they both loved them and send your brother a "Rock On" from me! \,,/ (My son says that's the rock on sign via keyboard. he,he) Posted: 9:57 am on January 1st
