Rope Hanger

I was looking for an more appealing way to hang things from ladders that were adjustable and easily removeable for customers.  I like the way Pottery Barn and other catalogs were using rope and I've always liked the industrial pulley look.  I had an old pop up trundle that had been outside for awhile and needed to go, so I removed all the springs and the wire what-ever-you-want-to-call-it that the matress sits on.  The springs act as interesting "S" hooks (see closeup photo).  I took about a 6 foot length of rope and tied a noose on each end so now I can simply adjust the length to whatever I'm hanging and the customer can easily remove the birdhouse, bucket, or lantern without having to ask for help.

Great idea! I love rope accents too, even when they're not needed. Nice touch with the galvanized goods.
