Craft Show Kiosk
December 6th, 2011 in member junk
I love making craft show displays out of repurposed materials. This one breaks down for easy transport. I started with an old door and two exterior shutters. Scraped, sanded, and waxed, of course. The shutters were installed off center so that there would be enough room on one side for a clothes rack made from a piece of closet rod. To make the rod adjustable back and forth, I used that piece of metal normally used to install ceiling fixtures that has a threaded hole in the center and two long cutouts on the sides (don't know what it's called but you can get creative). The reverse side has an old brass three rod wall mount rack hung low to hang blankets. The shelves are removable and just sit on the shutters. I attached vintage yard sticks around the edges so the shelves fit snug. I added some old coat hooks up top for hats or purses. It's been to three crafts shows this season and worked out great.
