Industrial Side Table

Had this mold for a few years, so I first had to give it a good scrubbing and then oiled it down.  This became the underside of the table, I used the better side for the part that shows.
I used the base from a swivel office chair I got at the thrift store for a couple bucks.  I cut off some of the metal so it wouldnt show, and then spray painted it black.
I attached the two together underneath by drilling some holes in the metal piece and running some screws into the wood.
I cut a circular piece of glass (I wanted it so you could see all the inside section of the mold) and siliconed around to give it a finished edge.

I'm sticking with industrial -- I think it's a fun look!  And this industrial side table turned out pretty cool.

I had the pulley, mold, wheel thingy (whatever it is) for some time and always intended to use it for a table top, but needed inspiration for the base...and then...a thrift store swivel office chair caught my eye.  The rest, as they say,.........
