My new cutting table all cleaned up and ready to go!
Love the long shallow drawer to store away all my ctting boards and grids so they are safe from breakage and hida-a-way convience.
small top drawer thats great to store all of my sewing tools, marking utensils and odds and ends.
A middle drawer and large bottom drawer both the stoer more tools, patterns, bags and anything else that needs to be kept safe and right a t my finger tips!

As a life long sewer and Auction junkie, I have now moved onto Junker "junkie" as well. The auction last Saturday was a junkers dream with many old and usable thing that went for little money. This old drafting table caught me eye. I am 6 ft. tall and 40??? yrs. old and doing my quilting the cutting always KILLED my back after hours of standing over my short and tiny old cutting table. I saw this drafting table and thought a new and prosperous life was in order! It works GREAT for all my cutting needs as it large and TALL I can sit on a bar stool for a while and then stand for a while when needed... it is the BEST $7.50 purchase I have made in a LONG time!!

that was a great find and bargain! i can relate to the sore back and short tables...i added casters to my enamel top table to bring it up to the right height for me. love the idea of a drafting table with all the storage AND the great height for us tall people! welcome to JMS!

JunkArchitect writes: That's the nice thing about old drafting tables, they were typically taller than most tables. I went and tossed mine out in the late 1980's when I started drawing on a computer...don't tell anyone.

7.50! That's the price of a grande something-or-other at Starbucks.
