Flaking, peeling, crusty and rusty…just the way we love it.

I found the bucket and chair at the same garage sale. The folks running the sale thought I was nuts because “y’all can’t sit in that chair, it’s too rusty”.

Don’t ya wish you could still buy laundry detergent in a cool bucket?

Any day is a good day when it’s sunny, warm and filled with junk.

Flaking, peeling, crusty and rusty…just the way we love it.

This rescued rusty lawn chair gets a fresh lease on life as the perfect base for a vintage bucket filled with sunflowers.

I have an itch to garage sale shopping. I would actually find a way to sit in the chair. A coat of urethane? Posted: 3:17 pm on August 4th

Funky_Junk_Donna writes: Being the graphics industry for many years, I've always gravitated towards branded items, especially vintage. If I saw that bucket, I would have totally flubbed the sale because I'd have been speechless with anticipation of having it! (I'm too honest for my own good)

Nice finds and even nicer usage of them both! Too rusty to sit on?!? Rust has feelings too. :)

These chairs like you got are hard to find now and yet I remember my Aunt having them in an aqua blue. Good job. Posted: 8:45 pm on August 3rd
chippingcharm writes: Yep...love, love love! Jim, you should see the colorful, crusty chairs my "Uncle-in-law" found for me, 4 of them! Can't sit on mine either but who cares...I'll post pics soon :) Laurel Posted: 8:19 pm on August 3rd
