I picked this up for $10.00 at the VOA thrift store.   Help.  Got any great ideas on what I can convert it into?

harvestyourblessings writes: When I was little my mom turned a turning tv console into a sewing cabinet. She put a little pegboard in it on the doors for putting thread on. Fastened small long drawers on the door and inside had several drawers slide in and out. She stored fabric and little projects inside it. All of the other ideas here are fabulous as well. I'm looking forward to seeing what becomes of your find.

I'd also paint it black, put a mirror top on it, set some cool vintage bar set on it. Oh, I'd also put glass in the doors and maybe some lights inside. But thats just me. Can you tell I like a good drink?! Posted: 9:11 am on June 7th
junk_grandma writes: I would make it into a pie safe. Gut the insides -- make shelves for the pies/storage. Take out front panels and use chicken wire for inserts. I would then place on top of a buffet painted same color (perhaps a colonial blue) to make them worked together. Whatever you decide on please post and show us the results. Good Luck. DarbyGirl writes: This looks like a great office hutch. I would suggest setting it on top of another piece to raise the height. Take the bottom scroll off and remove the panels in the front doors and add some etched glass.
Paint it up in a great colour and remove the bottom speaker area, for a sliding drawer for the keyboard, and slide out counter top underneath the keyboard drawer for a work surface. The side slots could have some kind of pull out storage for other files or office supplies.

Could also use for a laptop and put storage drawers underneath for files.
Best of luck!!
