Lamp Shade Cloche

At my last Springfield show I encountered a dealer headed to the trash can with this lamp shade. The fabric had a small tear in it and he graciously gave it to me as I eagerly asked, "Are you THROWING THAT AWAY?"I stripped off the fabric and liked the look of the binding left behind. It seemed cloche-like to me and I thought I'd use it as such. Then in the midst of my new ribbon flower making frenzy I tried this vintage lace with vintage pearl buttons and had that "aha!" moment where I knew they were meant to be together. It's headed back to Springfield in May but no one would know where it started!
