A picture of all the great junk that my partner sent!
I attached the Idaho plate and wood legs to an old wood box.  The box is open on top, so it can be used for magazine holder, remote control storage, etc.  I put a Texas plate on the other side.
In my junk package there were  2 blue bottle caps that say Made in Alaska (center one in photo).  This gave me the idea to cover the ends with bottle caps.
Ive been thinking about this project for awhile and my partner sent me just the right inspiration.  This is an apron made from bluejean scraps, fabric and trim.  The fabric, which matches so perfectly with jeans, came in my junk package.
I painted the cardboard cone and glued it to a round metal base, and then wrapped it with glass beads strung on rusty copper wire.  All components of this project, except paint and glue, came in my junk package.

This was such a fun project!  My junk swap partner is Objets Trouves and she sent me lots of great stuff!  I made a cool decorated wood box on legs that could be used as a magazine holder or a catch all for almost any room.  I made a few small items, like a beaded candle holder and a beaded vase (not pictured).  I also made a fun apron using some fabric in my package as a ruffled layer to the front of some old blue jeans.
