I have always dreamed of a farm table with mismatched chairs in my kitchen...no dining room...just in the kitchen.  Big & open & full of friends...eating take out, cause I can not cook, but I like the idea of it!  Our kitchen/dining area is small...so I have compromised.  A small refinished oak table, three mismatched chairs and a red bench found at a yard sale!  I have added a pillow made from an old quilt to the bench, and some silverish yard sale finds to the table.  Still cozy, but I have a stash of chairs in the basement...just in case!

artteachergirl writes: It's so nice! I love the mismatched chairs. My grandmother, always had mismatched out of necessity and I remember her saying one day she wanted everything to match. Times change, don't they? Mismatched has so much character. Beautiful setting. Posted: 12:38 am on February 18th
