I call this one Mini Midge (and its not because Im angelic). Its made from the top of a bedpost and metal shelf brackets.
Made from an old table leg, wooden shelf brackets, and the cap from a deck corner post.
The body is from half of an old table leg.  The head is half of a ball top of a bed post.  And the wings are from half  of some big plastic thing -- maybe a clock?
For wings, it depends whats being used, but I often have to add a board to the back for atthaching the wings to.
After constructing the angel, I paint it completely white.  Because its so stark, I then rub on stain and rub off as much as possible.  The I drybrush white highlighting.

I call this one "Mini Midge" (and it's not because I'm angelic). It's made from the top of a bedpost and metal shelf brackets.

More Angels!  The halos are from coiled up wire I had saved from a piano dismantling.  I think that's pretty fitting!

chiccottagejunk writes: I know this is going to really sound stupid, but I keep checking things online to see if Noreen/Midge is truly gone. I can't get a grip on this. We both live in Michigan and met up a few times to go junkin and have lunch.

Midge honestly was a one-of-a-kind person (kinda like her art!), and she will leave a large void on this earth. I hope that they like Junk in Heaven, because I'm sure she's already re-purposing stuff up there!

We will miss you, dear junker ... we will miss you. Posted: 10:14 am on September 3rd

CottageElements writes: I am so saddened and shocked by Noreen's passing. I had the great privilege of meeting Noreen on a visit to Minnesota and I am so thankful for that opportunity. She was an amazing woman in so many ways and she will be greatly missed. I know Noreen had a deep faith in God and am confident she is rejoicing in heaven. I also have a feeling she has a few junk projects she is working on up there! My thoughts and prayers go with her family.

chippingcharm writes: So VERY sad..."Midge" will be missed by so many. I only met her a couple of times in "real life" but she made a big impact on me too. She was so very witty, kind and creative. I enjoyed interacting with her here on JMS as well as on FB. Praying for comfort and peace for her family. I am imagining her creating up a storm in Heaven right now!! Strangely, I'd never met her in person before, but through exchanging emails, reading and responding to Facebook posts, private messages, and admiring her creative posts on JUNKMARKET Style over the years, I feel like she has always been my friend. If it hadn't been for JMS, I may never have known who this talented woman was! I'll miss her amazing sense of humor and her inspiration regarding her passion, business and family. Sending love to you Noreen.
