A Look at the Bright Side...

A couple of shutters...
Another use for metal garden fence...painted black and mounted behind a simple board they make a unique window treatment.
And of course a screen door...
An old metal ceiling tile tuned memo board with a couple of enamel pin magnets...

Sadly summer is coming to a close...but I've decided to look at the "Bright Side"...we get to enjoy our three season porch for one more season.  We recently redecorated and added a little junk here and there.  It's a great place to unwind after a busy day...

RustyDiva writes: Love your porch and all the beautiful calming colors Laurel. My fave has to be the valance! That is a great simple idea and allows the sun to shine in! Awesome pillows too ~ I love that you added that punch of dark to all the lighter hues. Just beautiful girlie!

The shutters placed on the wall like that really add charm to the room. Love your taste in decorating - everything comes together so well. Heck, I would think Better Homes and Gardens would like to talk to you!!!! Do you want me to call them for you????? gailmarie Posted: 9:49 pm on September 3rd

My three boys will be returning to school next Tuesday, and I always find it bittersweet!!! Will have to get busy with some junk projects!!
