Junkin' is the "SPICE" of life!

I have been hoarding a box full of spice cans for almost a year now. Well, today, no more! I thought they would make a great frame for a chalkboard, so fun. Now, what to do with the rest of them??? I have some other ideas, so I'd better get busy. I forgot to add that the cans are magnetic, so you could also attach notes, pictures, or recipes to the cans.

I started making projects from junk when I was in high school, and here I am 35 years later still loving it. This is my favorite site, it's the first one I open every morning with my cup of coffee. I get inspired every day from all of you.

Happy New Year!

suewhitney writes: Hi There,

JMS contributor Miss Kimberly chose this project to highlight for the "Best of 2009". I'm with Kimberly...this is an ab fab project! Here's what Kimberly had to say....

Hey Ladies,

I had way too much fun going through all of the member posts on the site. It was a little like Christmas, opening one delightful package at a time! It was hard to choose because I love all of the differing styles here at JMS...but here is my choice for the "Best of 2009". I'm a cook and I love red...so this is right up my alley. I totally love it. I want to thank both of you for being such wonderful members on this site. I always get excited to see your two smiling faces on a new post. My personal thanks also goes out to EVERY member on this site. You are all wonderfully talented and special gifts to the JMS community. Happy Holidays to all and I look forward to 2010. Cheers!

Take Care,

This sparks the imagination of what else one can put in a frame around a chalkboard or corkboard for that matter. You've got my creative juices flowing... Posted: 4:06 pm on July 30th
