Straight from the Heart

The grapevine wreath, wooden hearts, black stand, and both glass containers were from thrift stores. I've never decorated for Valentine's day before. It's kinda fun.

I know what your thinking... I live in Minnesota (known as Minnesnowta to us here) so, this must be my old snow shovel! Ha Ha Ha! It certainly would make quick work on my walkway. But no, it is a vintage two-handed comb scoop, once used to dry harvest cranberries, that Sue and I came across not too long ago on one of our junking adventures. Well, we decided that it would make the perfect welcoming wreath holder outside my red dutch door on the side porch. With my two little one's helping, we made it a kid friendly, family affair. Now everyone feels right at home when they enter our home this holiday season.
