I have been saving a piece of barn board for when I finally got my hands on a sewing machine base! And one finally appeared! I love love love mixing metal and wood together for a nice rustic look. Especially in time for the holidays!

I had the pleasure of picking a families estate before they sold off the farm. Over 100 years in the family! - So many treasure to be found! I decided these needed to be used for this custom crafted piece. A 4 foot by 3 foot rustic coffee table.
Dreamy on a mantle, but lots of other possibilities too. 7 Mason jar lids of varying sizes, were mounted to a salvaged barn board. Each letter was decoupaged with pages from a vintage, French lesson...

There is nothing about this creation I do not love. The beam itself was a find! I saw it - I HAD TO HAVE IT! For what? It didn't matter, it would come to me eventually! Looking at the before photo of it, there were unlimited possibilities... until.......... I found the legs!
