Born in Virginia and have lived here all my life, wouldnt have it any other way. I guess that I got my junking from my Mom and Dad, they were true collectors of all sort of mis-placed items. I consider myself as a true recycler--I love going to every thrift shop, goodwill, and habitat store that ever crosses my path. I love to find new purposes for what I call lost items. When I decide that I need a new item I always go treasure hunting.I have a junking building that I call my free shopping place---when I get tired of something I carry it to the building--in a month or to I can go and reclaim my items. Im terrible about always wanting change in my house, so this comes in really handy and its already paid for!! I found tis website by mistake one day and now I cant keep off of it. I love all of the ideas that people have-which in turn add fuel to my fire-I find myself saying why didnt I think of that? So keep those ideas coming, keep those wonderful minds open!!

Re: A look at what I start with.

How did you get your name? Where are you from? If you don't mind telling me...I've heard of a Murphys Market in North Carolina and was just wondering if you come from that area...We might have some things in common...THANKS

Great idea...Looks like we collect the same kind of junk...I have some of the same things...Always fun to re-purpose items...

Re: Refurbed Crib Is Fab Bench!

Great idea but I believe that I would have used the solid back for a seat instead...It would have been great to have a curved seat and a slatted back...alot more sturdy too...Just saying....love the idea...or cut a small portion of the curved top and added it to the slats for the back...that way you would still had enough for the seat too...

Re: From a bed to a Nutcracker...

Re: Chicken wire love :)

Thanks for your comment on my posting!! The box is wooden and not lined so I think the fire box is out but,I would love to know what this was used for. I see that you're from Virginia~~~what town?? We might be neighbors!!!

Re: UNKNOWN OBJECT

It's not lined~~~~I thought about a soap mold, but I can't find any to look at. It's got a gray residue left in it (like) powder.
