Ive been a junker forever! When you live on a budget and love quirky stylish things in your life you have to be creative and think outside of the box, or use the box! I have recently started staging homes with a realtor friend of mine. The Best Job Ever. You get to play with other peoples junk and make it look fantastic. Im always looking for new inspiration thanks to this site Ive found it. Cant wait to get my digital camera fired up and post some of my ideas.

Hollydaze make me smile!

Another brass chandelier re-do. I have turned this into somewhat of a cottage industry. I have sold 4 candoliers and the orders are coming in for Christmas. Who Knew!!!

Darling Dresser Cracks Me Up!!!

This was a terrific thrift store find. A solid cherry dresser that had seen better days. I sanded, painted and crackled the top and drawer fronts. A new set of drawer pulls "pulled" it all...

"While visions of giraffes and zebras danced in her head"

Another brass chandelier brought back to life. This animal print "candolier" will hang over a master bathtub in a zebra and giraffe inspired master bedroom suite. Hope she likes it!

Brassy Broad Lights up my life!

This was a great find, a double chandelier!!!  A little paint and bling and voila!

This little Diva's green with envy and dripping with bling!

This was an old 80's brass chandelier that I prettied up a bit. Paint, crackle, vintage bling and restrung beads!

Re: Fall Back Decor

I TOO am a "Damn Yankee" and I make no apologies for it! Love the box...I want one. Wouldn't all my southern neighbors be shocked! Sounds like we grew up in the same neighborhood in NE I was about 40 miles south of Boston. I sure don't miss the snow.

Re: Festive Fall "JUNK" Scarecrows

TOO CUTE !!!! I especially like the idea of making them for charities. Great Job!

Re: Junk fall decor

Welcome CraftingWendy.... you're gonna love this site. Everyone is so talented and creative. Can't wait to see more of your posts.

Re: Happy Autumn

Jim - Your display takes me back....I'm originally from New England and one of the things I miss the most are the fall colors. Thanks for sharing...sigh!

Re: Climbing my Chippy Ladder to Success!

I really like what you have done with this piece. I do worry that there is the possibility of lead paint on all these old chipped pieces. I hope you don't have any little children in your home. That's something that every "junker" should be aware of.

Re: Head on Over

love the crackle finish.....did you use a crackle medium or elmers glue? I've heard it can be used instead and it's more affordable.

Re: JMS Members > 5,000!

Thanks to Sue and all the contributors and members who inspire me daily! I unfortunately don't live in MN but I'd love to invite y'all down to SC when the snow starts blowing. We'll go junking "southern style". That means, we'll only need sweatshirts in February!!!! Keep on Junkin

Re: Jewelry treasure hunting

I am sooooooo jealous! Oh the fun I could have with all that loot! Can't wait to see what you're going to do with it.

Re: Sewing Table Sink

Love the re-purposing of an old item. Very creative. I usually walk right past the old sewing machines at yard sales. Think I'll take a second look from now on.
