Ive been a junker for years and years. After 38 years I feel that my house is still furnished in early marriage. Ive dabbled in almost every craft imaginable and enjoyed them all. I live in a town that hosts the worlds largest flea market, First Monday Trades Days at Canton, TX. (junk heaven!).

Garden Bench

Photo Stand

I glued aluminum foil (dull side out) on the base but it was still too shiny so I rubbed black acrylic paint all over it.  Drilled a large hole to screw the arm thingy in, then screwed paper...

Mobile Boutique

I took an old school bus and transformed it into a mobile boutique.  We took this old bus all over north and east Texas holding fashion shows and sales in nursing homes for the residents.

Re: spirit of junk

This is adorable. And I know why we think these things - Sue carries an infectious disease and we've all caught it(at least that's what my DH thinks!) Good job.

I LOVE this. How perfect for a bridal shower. Do you get a little giddy feeling when you find something really special at a fabulous price? I do! Fabulous job.

Re: Mobile Boutique

Thanks everyone for all your encouraging words. We have had such a wonderful time with this. We always tried to have the residents as our models (even in wheelchairs). I carried hats and feather boas and they always had a good time, almost like playing dress-up. I named the bus MISS EVALYN after my mother who was the inspiration on this idea and continues to be my rock and biggest cheerleader.
