Re: Warm and cozy night light.

This one too is very, very cool.

Re: More light and its environment.

Very cool. Inspires me to do something with a couple of old pieces I have acquired.

Re: Vintage Curio Cabinet

Mr. Healy,

Your work inspires me greatly. Unfortunately it inspires me to think of more things to do. What it doesn't inspire me to do is get off my flabby white butt and actually do something but thank you for the inspiration anyway. ;)

Re: Repurposed Apothecary Cabinet

If I could have afforded it in the first place there is no way I could part with it after getting it home. I think it looks great.

Re: Chess Anyone?

Beautiful! I had thought years ago how great silver salt shakers would look as chess pieces but how to find enough for the pawns kept me from trying it.

Re: Vintage croquet vases

Beautiful. Great idea, beautifully executed.

Re: Hutch top transformation

Very nicely done. I have a top to a hutch that I think would look great done like this. I also have 4 legs from a bed I found laying beside a dumpster. I've been thinking about making a bench from the bed. I think I'll still do that but steal a little off the legs to use on this hutch top. Thanks for a great idea.

Re: Stripping Veneer - The EASY WAY

I have a mirror with a base w/ 2 drawers. I started stripping the awful pink paint on it and got down to the veneer and then the fun really began. Much of it was if great shape but not all and that which wasn't in great shape wasn't even in good shape. Bad shape in fact. I decided that painting would be the best bet. I look forward to trying this.

Re: THE SUBTERFUGE - Steampunk underwater vehicle

If DaVinci could propose an ornithopter I don't see why you couldn't propose a piscasubmarine.

Re: Repurposed Vintage Simplex Timeclock & Flashlight Lamp

Way, way cool. You are most definitely on the right track. I'm into Steampunk and I would say this would qualify as Steampunk. If you should one day want to make it a working clock you could probably replace the mechanical innards with a quartz clock movement. Last I looked they had them at WalMart.

Re: Canteen Cowboy Lamp

Way cool!! I understand seller's remorse. I have some jewelry I have made that I will not part with.

Re: My first retirement DIY project

Looks great. Congratulations on your retirement. Mine starts Saturday.

Re: Fun, Junky Jewlery!

Cool
