A new addition to the front yard
A cute sculpture I made a few days ago.... Salvaged steel parts including bearings, bolts, chain, gears, a plow disk, & glass insulators. I think it's a nice addition to the...
Leafy Sail Sculpture
A cute sculpture created this spring; made from some old gears, a big bearing, brass, copper, stainless steel, & a few rivets & nuts & bolts. The top portion spins freely on the...
RE Boutique Sign
A set of signs made for a cute little boutique in downtown Boise--that my cousin just opened this summer. I used left over copper, re-claimed steel, cable scraps, & other metal...
Steel Spring Table
New dining room table I made today; for the whole story behind it see my blog at http://industrialrevelations.blogspot.com . A huge, heavy train spring, with a concrete saw for a top. Base is...
"Tools"
I was given a bucket full of tools & an old jack; & this is what came out of it!! I must say, I was sad when he came to get it last night; it was a nice addition to my little sculpture...
Industrial BirdFeeder
I couldn't resist sharing this project; made for my bro-in-law: a funky bird feeder created out of a salvaged aluminum square tube!! It turned out pretty cute, I think: he will get a kick...
Another Bird Feeder
A cute bired feeder that the squirels are convinced I made especially for them; they fit perfectly into the little hopper under the roof & help themselves to only the best seeds (and scatter all...

Thanks for all the great comments; I'm liking this one too; I think he may be moving to the gallery soon, though...
posted: 10:30 am on November 9thgreencolleen---I just hung the insulators from a loop; they come just like that; each glass piece is attached to the steel & has a loop & pin: all ready to go :)---the power company has the coolest scrap yard, btw---
vangogh_sister----yep, welding required: you should definately give it a try; it's lots of fun. And, if you have a husband/boyfriend: he will love all the tools that go with!

posted: 10:39 am on October 26thmonakent--Yep; it's been awhile since I posted: have been taking care of familiy stuff since spring; just now getting back into work/biz.
oldnews---this type of saw blade really never is sharp; the very outer edge has a line of diamond dust coating that cuts through the concrete. All I had to do was clean it up with a wire brush :)
RustyDiva---I got the spring at Pacific Recycling; they have them quite often in different sizes. All train cars have them; they are like the shocks/struts on your car :)
Will post more projects soon...
