Hello, my name is Tracie and I am the Proprietor of My Petite Maison. An online shop that carries all kinds of wares and will be featuring my art beginning January 2009.

I am always extra busy and out on the hunt for antiques and junk AKA junque. Looking for something new to add to my collection. I love the hunt of looking for something old, tattered, time worn and knowing it has a history and has been loved before in a different life. I love all the flea markets, be it in the States or in France... I just love old things from all over this Earth.

So happy to be a member of this community where people share their wonderful ideas of re-salvage and re-use. I am constantly on the look out for new ideas for uses of lovely time worn items and this is just the place for new inspiration and get me excited about starting another project.

I am also the Co-Editor of Porch Magazine ~ The Magazine for Bloggers.

My hope is to contribute much to this online community as I have been a fan of Junkmarket Style for many years.

Happy day ~ Jour Heureux!

Re: Kick-Off for Junk Beautiful Outdoor Edition in Texas

I can not wait to get my hands on this book, Sue. Love the photos above and have the urge to go junking today! Would love to attend these events, especially Theresa's blog party, book signing event at GardenAntqsVintage - what a blast that will be for all! Counting the days until I've got my book.

Re: Box Spring Re-Do

What a great piece! I love all the precious tidbits you've got tucked within the box spring and the items surrounding the piece (especially the chandelier).

Re: Just What the Doctor Ordered

This is darling! I'm off to find my grandma's old hot water bottle and few other necessities! I want one of these bouquets myself.

Re: On Newsstands Now!

I'd better get going and order my copy now. I'm behind the times, so glad I subscribe to the Newsletter to get the inside scoop! Off to get my dynamic duo.

Re: How to Wrap Gifts for Teens

This is a great project. I'm going to try this with my daughter, but we're going to do one for a New Year's Eve gift. I especially like the vintage bling added and we'll do that since we've got a few little vintage rhinestone pieces tucked away and would perfect for this.

Isn't it great now that now resalvaging, antiquing, loving vintage items... all our loves is now the "in" thing. We were ahead of our time!

Can't wait to start this project.

Re: Trinkets for Trimming!

I love this and since I'm running behind on wrapping, this is just right for me today. I'm running upstairs and grabbing some of my buttons and an old fleur de lys brooch I was lucky enough to find flea marketing! Thanks, Sue!

Re: How to Make an Indoor Window Box

I love this piece and the project. So inspiring!

Re: Tag Maker Tote

What an amazing finished product and what a wonderful find in the first place!

I will now be on the look out for something like this while out antiquing/junking! I need something to store all my craft projects... gee shipping items too. Who knows, maybe I'll find something today. Thanks for the inspiration, Sue.
