I've spent most of the years of my life turning junk into something wonderful. My specialty is furniture, especially discarded and unwanted. However, I love turning junk into interior art. I write a weekly DIY column for The Indianapolis Star and teach DIY classes for teens at The Indianapolis Art Center. I also teach sewing and DIY upholstery classes. I'm a featured writer for www.curbly.com and I do periodic DIY tutorials on www.apartmenttherapy.com-chicago. I've had projects on www.craftzine.com, www.designsponge.com, and instructables. I look forward to sharing on junkmarket.

Thanks for so much support. I think of these projects, collect some junk and then make them. I think I'm underappreciated at home. Ha! Going outside now to try some upholstery fabric paint on a cute little upholstered ottoman.

I'm loving these cabinet doors. I always wanted to work in a props department. It's one of the many things I wanted to try in life. I'm the same, I've been digging around for junk before anyone thought of doing it. I still have friends who can't believe I would use junk to make stuff for my house. Their loss. I can't wait to see what you build.
