The Evolution of a Junky MidCentury Modern Side Table
One junky, formica topped modern side table ($6.99) has been redesigned three times. For the complete reincarnation history of the two tiered table, see my post on Curbly. The felt...
Upholstered Bench from UGLY Coffee Table
O.K., another Goodwill purchase I made. Look at the horrid stain on top. This ugly brown pine bench was purchased and I painted it off-white. I drilled six symmetrical holes in the bottom, cut...
Circle Silhouette from Wooden Spool and Goodwill Dress
This circular fabric silhouette was made with one side of an empty electrical wire wooden spool, a silhouette from felt, and a Goodwill Dress. I ironed on crafting interfacing to a...
Button Tray
A $1.99 teak tray from Goodwill was a breeze to convert into a hip Button Tray for wine and cheese. The trick is the drill bit housing that takes a nice plug right out of the wood. A little sanding...
Mod Oval Ottoman from Goodwill Pleated Plaid Skirt
This oval ottoman (my favorite shape) was covered in a red fabric with a huge stain on the top. I purchased a big pleated plaid skirt at my fav Goodwill, removed the waistband and pressed on some...

Thanks for so much support. I think of these projects, collect some junk and then make them. I think I'm underappreciated at home. Ha! Going outside now to try some upholstery fabric paint on a cute little upholstered ottoman.

I'm loving these cabinet doors. I always wanted to work in a props department. It's one of the many things I wanted to try in life. I'm the same, I've been digging around for junk before anyone thought of doing it. I still have friends who can't believe I would use junk to make stuff for my house. Their loss. I can't wait to see what you build.
