HopingToJunk

I am a stay-at-home mom with two young kids. I am a former marketing director and am missing that creative outlet I once had. I want to junk! I am currently de-cluttering my home as we're moving back home to Boston soon. I am getting rid of some unusable junk (yes, there is such a thing, trust me) to make room for good junk! I am gathering lots of thoughts and ideas for my next home. I hope to share some of my own very soon.
P.S. I'll be asking tips on how to convince my husband that all of these pieces of junk are really new found treasures!

Re: Art for under $3

These are awesome. What an easy and inexpensive way to change the decor in your house. I'm going to use this idea to create a little art for staging my home to sell it. Thanks MB!

Re: Upcycle your cabinet doors: Part 1

These are great. So much more fun and crafty than those you can buy in a store. I love the substantial, rich look of the cabinet as a frame. Great idea to be able to change out the fabric! That's especially nice for kids as they get older. And a great way to change something without creating waste.

Re: An ugly old vanity light seen in a whole new light

Great idea! What a good way to save something seemingly "dated" from a landfill.

Re: Glass Cigar Tubes - Totally Tubular Project

Candy, I love, love, love it! You are a master at making simple and beautiful projects. I love your style And your photos are always like a magazine photo shoot. This project gives me hope that spring is somewhere around the corner. Thanks for the inspiration.

Re: Just What the Doctor Ordered

Sue,
I just love the red, white and black. It's a perfect combo. And the beautiful but droopy tulips..lovesick bouquet..hysterical. Beautiful and funny at the same time - and who couldn't use a little bit of that any day of the week?
I'll never use a glass vase again...

Re: "THE UNCOLA Crate" Shadow Box Table

Jim,
Very cool! I love it. Definitely a piece that makes you stop and take a double look. I'm sure it really pops in the room.
It would be my dream to have a Diet Coke one (my favorite beverage).
As for retail, well, maybe it was recycled glass? : )

Re: Ski Tip Table

Oh, I just love the vintage skis! What a great look. The skis would look so cool on a wall or as a shelf, especially this time of year. It may look cool on a surfboard too. Retro ski and surf stuff is fun. And you could make some money doing the skateboard thing and selling for kids. It's so hot right now.

Wait a minute, did you break your 60 day pact not to buy any supplies or did you already have the skis? : ) I think that doesn't count since it was for charity. Great idea, great product and great cause.
Great job!
Krista

Re: Message Boards

I love these. I have been looking for a new & original idea for a message board for my kitchen. These have such great character. Thanks!

Re: Toboggan Winter Photo Display

Candy,
I love it. This is such a wonderful winter display. I love how your projects have a simple, not over-done look, yet they have such a dramatic effect in a room.
Even the angle of your photography is terrific! Great stuff!
