Rescued China Cabinet
1950's China Cabinet
1950's Sewing machine & cabinet
I inherited this piece last year. It was originally wood color. I refinished it to match the other furniture for my craft room. BTW - the sewing machine works wonderfully! Don't pay any mind to the...
Scrapbook Storage
I found this old buffet at a yard sale for $15. My third piece for my craft/sewing room!
Backdoor Cross
This is our plain concrete pad that my DH poured. I wanted something nice to put on it. We purchased broken tile from our local hardware for really cheap. Not too bad for my first mosaic attempt!
Freeby :-)
I aquired this freeby from an old warehouse that a previous employer had. The top was bowed considerably, and has been in my barn with heavy objects on top of it. Well it has been about a year now...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
A lonely disgarded thrift store find. The look on the woman's face when I said "sold for $5" was priceless! The chair was a yard sale find for $1. I gave it new life as well, married the two. Lonely...
Loving dinner with family!

Very good idea!! Could be used to hold just about anything! If it is water tight, you could also put goldfish in it for a unique fish pond.

I love it!! I too smile at the bent rusty tin, looks like it has been there for a long time. The Texas star adds a nice touch too. I will have to keep this project in mind! Beautifull done!

The fencing would make a beautiful one of a kind trellis, so i agree with your hubby on that one! I have seen some really nice headboards made fom shutters. Looks like they would match both you your childrens bedrooms.....or attach pegs for a place to hang jewelry. Have fun with your "treasures"!

Your votes are unanimous for painting! Thanks to everyone for your opinions! I am quite fond of the rustic look so I really appreciate the shared inspiration from DownHomeDIY. Unfortunately my dining room is too small to keep it when I'm finished, so I will be selling it. :(

Very nice! Love it! I would love to know what you did with the slate roof. I see you are from Canton, Tx. That is my home state and have family there in Canton. Absolutely love First Monday and wish we had one even half that size here in FL.
