Family Scrabble Board
Our family had its annual get-together over Labor Day Weekend, so I had them construct a family Scrabble board. Everyone had to find their own names in Scrabble tiles, then work together to...
Camping Lunch pail
Remember this project from Junk Market days gone by? This lunch pail is so cute now, with fun coordinating papers and scrabble tiles to dress it up a bit. What a great way to organize a...
Light Shines Around the World
Here's a lamp I made. The lamp base is repurposed, starting out as shiny brass, then spray painted bronze. I cut an old globe in half, added fringe and it becamenbspthe...
Storage by the Drawer full
My husband and I put this VHS storage unit together with misc. old drawers and two table legs. We'll continue to build the unit up as we find drawers. Easy stuff!
Little Black Table
This is a little table my friend left on the curb. I gave it some attention and TLC and it was beautiful once again. It sold quickly at the store! Cheryl in PI

Re: Don't Forget...Oronoco is This Weekend!!
Wow, I'm starting to realize how fortunate I am to live only 5 minutes away! This party will be awesome! And you're going to fall in love with pink tools. Big girls gotta have 'em.

Re: Vintage Treasures Market
My husband and I will be there selling our treasures. Come and see us at our "Junk Devotion" booth if you're in the greater Minnesota area. It's going to be an awesome sale, and coming up VERY fast!

Re: On Newsstands Now!
I picked up a copy at the local Home Depot store last week and have watched the DVD twice already. My favorite part is the trip to the flea market. Elko Traders Market is my absolute favorite - I could go there every day. It looks like your preferred vendors are the same as mine! I recognized every single inch of the vendors spots that you visited. It makes me long for those warm sunny days to come. They can't come soon enough! These Minnesota days with 10+ inches of snow and below zero windchills get very long. Thanks for giving me a way to visit one of my favorite junking spots as often as I'd like.

Re: Farewell Jedi Junk - May the Force Be With You
Tim - We'll miss you! It was always great running into you at various junking excursions. I'm still waiting for the "I'm a little junker..." video! :)

Re: Weekend Finds
Very cool stuff - ENJOY! I use hedgeballs each fall/winter season. We tuck away 5-6 of them in various places around our basement and they really do keep away the spiders. By spring they'll be all shriveled up and I'll throw them away. Here in SE Minnesota many grocery stores sell them in the produce area (even though they are not edible.)

Re: I Scream, You Scream . . .
One trick we use to clean old bottles is denture cleaning tablets. Stick one in a bottle with warm water, shake and leave it over night. It gets fizzy and takes out the gunk.

Re: An Oronoco Adventure
Tim - My kudos to you for working with such a great bunch of women. You're quite the guy to handle that tough position. Gold Rush is an awesome event for those of us who attend, and it's nice to hear what goes on behind the scenes. We don't realize how much work it can be! If you didn't have a good sense of humor you'd probably have a coronary from this experience.

Re: A shout out to our members and friends!
Hey Kimberly! It was great to see you at Junk Bonanza last week. Thanks for stopping by the Tomboy Tools booth. We had a blast meeting everyone, especially Joan Steffend. She's the one who broke my drill bit and gave us a good laugh. The famous broken bit will be framed along with Joan's autograph and our photo taken together. HA!

Re: We're on Facebook!
Sue - Great article in Country Woman magazine! I loved it. The junking news is really spreading. I'll be working in the Tomboy Tools booth at Junk Bonanza the rest of the week. I hope some Junk Market friends will stop by to say hi.

Re: Trader's Market, Elko, Minnesota
You lucky ducks! Elko is my absolute favorite and I can't make it this weekend. Think of me, OK? We'll be in Mantorville, MN next weekend for Marigold Days. Anyone join me?
