When I Thankfully stumbled upon this site, all I could think was, Thank you sweet, tiny baby Jesus in the manger, I found just found the motherland. These are my peeps!!!! They also have the vision when they see something that perhaps everyone else would see as trash. You know to use something for its intended purpose is childs play. However, if you can take something and create a Different/opposite way to bring it back to life then thats a great day!!

Re: Painted Jute Rugs

Kenda, So happy I could help save a rug from the trash. I hope you'll be taking some before/after pictures so we can all enjoy! Take Care ~ Susan

Re: Confessions of a Suitcase-a-Holic

I'm soooo Glad to have found yall too!! Such a talented group of folks that are a great inspiration. Thank yall for being so sweet and encouraging :) It makes my day ~ Susan

Re: Painted Jute Rugs

Hi Kenda, the black is just acrylic paint and I sealed the painted areas with a coat of varnish/polyurethane. The white circles on the green rug is that "slick" fabric paint (just because that is what I already had lying around)and it worked out well too. Use a cheap brush cause the rug will eat it up :) Hope that helps ~ Susan
