My husband and I left the corporate/bureaucratic world 3 years ago to pursue a dream - owning an old general store and operating it as a unique antique, gift, gathering place. We have 3 old hotel-like rooms for rent above the store and a two bedroom, two bath cabin that we rent. We are located in a very rural area in deep southern Illinois and right on the banks of the Ohio River. We have approximately 20 neighbors not counting bald eagles, blue herons, deer, snowy egrets and other assorted wildlife. We rescue junk destined for the landfill or the ditch and re-style it for our store. The ultimate goal is to host art/junking/crafting retreats.

Love the cigar box - one of my addictions, just one of many!

Re: Glass Cigar Tubes - Totally Tubular Project

I love the glass tubes. I have attached one to the side of a photo frame and used it like a vase and tucked small flowers in it to sit on a desk or table.
