Re: Rusty Bed Springs- wall centerpiece

This is such an inventive and creative way to use your space, let alone the thrifty element of up-cycling the old bed springs! These springs would definitely make wonderful planters, would it be difficult to separate them into individual springs? This would have the extra added benefit of allowing the plants to

Re: Repurposed Silverplate Pitcher Birdhouse with Modified Forks & Spoons

Antique silver is usually thought of in the context of being a serious topic, but treating it in this style means that antique silver and gets a new lease of life! Silver forks are especially useful in this type of artistic interpretation, with the prongs of the forks being especially suitable for forming and articulating into more intricate shapes than larger pieces of silver. Antique silver can so easily be treat with kid gloves but this is a great way to enjoy it while making a spectacular garden ornament!

Re: Gold Coin with Light Sapphire Rhinestone Necklace

There is something so special about sapphire jewelry, this pendant is making me miss the summer.

Re: Re-purposed Vintage Brooch Bracelet

Oh I would love to see this piece being worn. I have seen some great creations with brooches at the moment. A favorite of mine was a bouquet made of antique brooches and used by a bride on her wedding day.

I think this is a great idea, they would also make great napkin rings as well as bracelets. You can do so much with some pieces of silver cutlery these days. Many people have framed pieces, created centrepieces and a recent post I saw even made some silver candlesticks. It is so great to see silverware being so versatile in its uses.

Re: Amazing Things Found in the Trash

It breaks my heart to know people throw away cutlery. It amazes me how much silver cutlery can be disregarded when it could be made from sterling silver and hold some value. Keep your eyes peeled for any hallmarks on your silver cutlery before throwing it away please.

Re: Vintage Silver Tray

The entire setting would have looked plain but the addition of a single piece of vintage cutlery, it managed to change the whole display to be really charming and unique. Nevertheless, I think the tray could do with a little rub and shine to give it an even more enchanting outlook.

Re: Cutlery Crosses

Well, that is one really creative idea! I have some abandoned antique cutlery that have been under utilized for quite some time now and I thought that is the end of their service on the dinner table due to their physical condition. However, you have given me a whole new outlook on what to do next with them.

Re: Vintage Silver Spoon Napkin Ring

I have to really applaud you on this ingenious idea indeed. Who would have thought an antique piece of silver spoon could be bent and modified by a few degrees and voila, you have a completely different use for it. It is really beautiful which looks classy and perfect for special occasions and events.

Re: Repurposed Antique Frame

This is what happens when you have talent and you are prepared to put in effort. An antique piece would turn out to be even more stunning after repurposing it to complement the modern furniture collection you already have in the living room at home. You get to retain the timeless design but at the same time give it a modern touch.

Re: great old antique iron scroll work cabinet thingy.

An antique piece is always stunning regardless of what you do to it

Re: Saline Antiques and Vintage Market - Ann Arbor, Michigan

It is good to be at a one-stop market where various collections can be viewed and admired. There will be beautiful antiques and vintage pieces put together in a single display so it becomes easier for collectors and buyers to appreciate and compare which ones to hoard back home.

Re: Vintage Silver Spoon Napkin Ring

I love the way the spoons look beautifully like Victorian Jewellery. And the bits where the spoons are can absolutely be engraved or something to make them personalised for someone that you love. Very neat for something you can make in the comfort of your own home.
