My FAVORITE Project!  We hung an eight foot painted piece of picket fence to our dining room wall to display some of my favorite "junk"!  I loveeee how it turned out!  What ya think...

I just went out on my lunch break to one of my fav thrift stores and guess what!! They had these light fixtures by the dumpster ready to throw away!! I scooped them up OF COURSE (after asking permission) and then left my number if any more come in!

ps janis...no I don't quilt...my sewing machine hates me....mom still fusses at me for choosing to take theater instead of home ec!! I love fabric and go coo-coo for quilt stores because they have the most beautiful fabric selections!! some of the fabric above is actually from old pieces of clothing!!

Thanks guys! I love the great ideas!! Let's see...my list of things to look at at my local craft store:

-glass etching materials
-some sort of glue that dries clear?? for putting pretty stuff behind the glass ones
-Christmas ornaments balls...wow...they would really catch the light....and am I the only one noticing all of the sales??? Christmas is 50% off down here in Texas!
-ribbon for possibly wrapping one of them and/or for hanging the pretty "thingys" from.
-some sort of paint that will work on glass...any suggestions? girls?

(i have a strange addiction to pretty paper soooo...i already have tons and tons of pretty paper!! Hubs will kill me if I come home with more paper!! and I don't scrapbook...go figure!)

Oh Wow! Thanks guys....the creative juices are really flowing now!! Michaels and Hobby Lobby WATCH OUT...here I come!

Thanks for stopping by my website. Yes, I have been silent on the junkmarket website because I have been WAY TOOO busy! I look at all of the fabulous projects often and gain much inspiration from them! (I guess my 9-5 is getting in the way of the stuff I am passionate about-JUNK!-but in these troubled financial times-I won't complain!! I am thankful.)

This is cool! I've seen the rake end (no handle) used as a pot holder in the kitchen too! My husband actually accused me of purposely breaking the rake handle so he would get a new one and I could use the old one!! hahaha

It looks like soooo much fun!! I was there on Saturday!! I looked everywhere around Zapp Hall hoping to see you!! We had a real blast! I wish I could have been there for the Prom! But I did get pictures with "Large Marge" the huge pink Suburban at the Junk Gypsy Booth!
