After many years of absence from our home state of Texas we are in the process of moving back. Yep, that's where our children have made our grandchildren live. :) I read a lot, love puzzles, paint, quilt, collect and repair dolls, wrote a cookbook last year and LOVE to find a bargain. I started going to sales with my grandmother...before we knew they were garage sales. As years passed I graduated to estate sales and antique shops. We had great fun and now I am teaching my own grandchildren the joy of finding a treasure. My grandmother bought many naked dolls and "fixed them up". Then she would sell them in her front yard or give them to little girls who passed by. She was always making something from nothing and loved doing it. I learned the trade from her and love it. Perhaps the most fun of all is "the thrill of the hunt". :)
