Upcycled Pillows etc.

The pillows are mainly made from old wool blanket fabric, I felt the blankets and some pieces of the wool have been dyed with dollar store dye on top of my stove to give me more variety with colours.  The stripey bag was made with a baby blanket that I found for a buck fifty, I just had to do something with it, it was so cute!  It will make a super bag for farmers market trips in the summer, and of course garage sales! The smaller item is an eyeglass case that I whipped up today from a scrap of an Esprit sweater.

I have two 'biggish' fabric covered pillows that were once on the sides of a sofa. They are too big too be lumbar pillows on their own...any ideas on what I can do with them?

Sometimes I throw in a pair of sneakers or some tennis balls to provide more agitation, the seaters need to be beaten up a little to really shrink up. Bye the way, I am going to be featured Tuesday on http://www.resweater.blogspot.com/, a blog about using recycled sweaters. The Blog writer found me on Flickr and saw the pillow pics. I am so flattered that people like my work! Cheers, KIM Posted: 1:28 pm on April 6th

writes: Beautiful stuff pennyheaven. I just love it.

I am fortunate enough to have about 2 dozen penny eggs made by a very special gal whose since passed away. Some of them are filled with lavender and I think of her every time I see & smell them.

Please keep your posts coming. They are wonderful.

I noticed a few pieces have price tags on them, which I am assuming means you are selling your work. I certainly can't imagine people NOT buying your lovely and colorful pieces!!! Keep up the super work. gailmarie, bfa Posted: 6:53 pm on April 1st
