Upcycled Pillows etc.

The pillows are mainly made from old wool blanket fabric, I felt the blankets and some pieces of the wool have been dyed with dollar store dye on top of my stove to give me more variety with colours.  The stripey bag was made with a baby blanket that I found for a buck fifty, I just had to do something with it, it was so cute!  It will make a super bag for farmers market trips in the summer, and of course garage sales! The smaller item is an eyeglass case that I whipped up today from a scrap of an Esprit sweater.

pennyheaven writes: Hey Colleen, you may need to repeat the process if you don't think the sweaters have shrunk enough. Sometimes I throw in a pair of sneakers or some tennis balls to provide more agitation, the seaters need to be beaten up a little to really shrink up. I am fortunate enough to have about 2 dozen penny eggs made by a very special gal whose since passed away. Some of them are filled with lavender and I think of her every time I see & smell them.
