This city wide garage sale was spread out in several different parking lots around the town square in Georgetown, Texas. Follow the signs and the yellow brick road that lead to more incredible junk!
Make these sales a family affair. Youll find something for everyone including the tots and the teens. Miss Elizabeth and Miss Nina are happy junk campers!
P.S. Dress for the weather. It can be a little chilly in the morning...even in Texas!
This was truly my deal of the day. Four little glass lamp bases for four bucks a piece. Oooo baby, thats a bargain!
You know how I love to cruise the alleys for junk. This one was home to some amazing finds. Look at that bedspring!
Another good find. The Caring Place booth had some wonderful old linens. This pillow case is vintage linen and hand crocheted lace for 3 buckaroos. I bought a pile. Imagine that!
Okay, whats wrong with this picture? The children are walking and being carried while the junk rides in the stroller. You have to love that!
The Caring Place is a local organization in Georgetown that helps famiies in need. I did a book signing in their booth and a portion of the proceeds will go back to The Caring Place. It was a pleasure to meet and work with all of the volunteers of this wonderful organization. What a great day!

City wide garage sales are popping up all over the country! If you don't have one in your neck of the woods you may want to consider starting one. You can start slow with a neighborhood rummage sale and build from there or call your city offices and go for the gusto! The one we just attended in Georgetown, Texas was well run, well attended, and oodles of fun! What a way to kick off book tour!

CANNOT wait to see what you found at Round Top--I'll be watching the Today show April 13th! Will you come back to Texas in September/October for the fall show? So glad you had fun in Georgetown, my hometown. I live a couple of hours away now, but come home to the ranch often! Safe travels home!

magark writes: That sale looks like fun! Wish I could have attended. I actually donated a pair of glass lamps like those to the thrift store 2 weeks ago...they wouldn't sell in the booth! Some folks just don't have any imagination. Looks like you had a swell time though and that alley looks to die for! Jan Posted: 8:43 pm on March 29th
