Sugar molds are expensive so I made my own. One piece of wood for only $6!! I made 12 of them! And they cut if for me.

I used a 5/8" drill bit which would fit the test tubes that I got.

I used gel stain that I had on hand. Once dry I put wax on it to protect it.

One of my favorite "Junkers" is Candy at Junk Sophisticate (www.junksophisticate.com). I fell in love with her Totally Tubular creation and wanted one of my own. I couldn't find cigar tubes and the sugar molds were pricey. So, I decided to make my own! I used a 4x6 piece of wood and test tubes instead. Thank you Candy for the inspiration!
