Time for an old drawer to SPRING to life!
March 21st, 2009 in member junkI've been inspired by everyone's great spring projects and pretty florals - so...here's my first project for the fleamarket/spring season - with a touch of spring.
I guess it's pretty obvious I used an old drawer front (ugly brown...), and gave it a wave of the magic wand (aka my paint brush), and added some elements to make it functional. A metal basket (from the thrift store), and a wooden shelf (that I found at the thrift store too...and who knew - it fit perfectly!), a porcelain knob to help hold the basket in place and one down below - just to look pretty.
It's hanging in my living room for the moment - but it's on its way to our first fleamarket in Kentucky in April! Lots more projects to go...better get busy (my next "assignment" is pincushions...they're lined up and ready to be "embellished"!).
P.S. The other drawer had a totally different look/function - you can see on this earlier post... http://www.junkmarketstyle.com/item/1899/projects-for-the-scott-antique-market (and, yes, I sold it!)
