I used an old window found by the curb to make this family picture frame!  I especially like the painted lettering!  (Ignore the picture hangers at the top--Im looking for small crystal knobs or something cool to glue on top!)
I painted the window frame white, then printed out our family est. 1997 in a cool font on the computer.  I taped it on the wrong side of the glass and traced/painted it on with a black paint pen!  Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy!!
A close up of the lettering.

I took a curbside find of an old window frame and made a personalized family picture frame!!

I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it but I am now in the process of doing it. I have 4 children, all who have graduated high school and therefore I have all their grad. pictures. I also found a picture of them when they were babies or todlers. What I am doing is having each of their grad. pictures on the top row and their baby pictures hanging under each child. I was trying to make my own mat for each picture but that was abit difficult. Now that I see you have just hung the picture directly behind each pain, I think that'll be much easier. Thanks for sharing your idea! Posted: 3:51 pm on November 23rd

Also, I actually placed the computer printed words on the RIGHT side of the glass, flipped window over and painted/traced on the WRONG side--this way when I dust the glass I don't have to worry about scraping paint off accidentally! Sorry for the confusion! :) Posted: 2:19 pm on August 27th
