Ladies ~

This image is taken from another web site and NOT exactly what I want however the same idea:) i just had to include a photo however it will hang the same. So picture the terracotta pots hanging upside down to house the bulbs, OK? Now.......

I am in need of some help. I'm looking for a way to hang terracotta pots upside down to house a light bulb.

I am using an old wooden ladder that I have wrapped with grapevine. I want to hang this as a ceiling light, having three terracotta pots hang upside down as a light across the ladder. I think you can visualize this. What I'm not sure about is how to suspend the pots and secure them. I'd like them to hang in the two outside and one middle rung. Can anyone give me some ideas? (pics would be most helpful)  She has an electrical outlet at the ceiling with a switch to it down below so wiring shouldn't be too hard. Just how to hang the post for stability, safety, etc.

Please email me privately, thanks

In Him

Kim

lewismichel writes: why dont you use rot iron hangings to hand your pots. they are durable, long lasting and protects the pots from any kind of damage. Just make sure you dont bump into them... hehe

there are "light kits" at Home Depot, Walmart, etc with cords that can fit right through the hole and plug in. You should be able to wrap a medium weight wire (or a heavier jute rope?) horizontally through the hole 4 x for balance and through the hole to the top and hang the pot from the wire (jute). Just be careful that the wire doesn't rub on the cord to your light. don't want a short. Perhaps it would be good to put electrical tape on the wire where it's near the cord. BillyJo writes: Hi Kim, I maybe able to help too. My email is billysbirdhouses@live.com. you do mean that the pot will be hanging below that ladder with your electrical cord in the hole of the pot at the bottom. One idea (short of drilling holes and useing eye bolts) would be to use heavy looped wire into the whole you plan to put the light through. Or go to your hardware store and have the associate explain how to install a light to a light fixture box. You see the plate with a whole and it should give you ideas. Or email me and I will send you a piz after I search for one! K. BillyJo Posted: 10:44 pm on July 15th
