I am always searching for these vintage wooden sleds and old iceskates. This project I kept simple with no detailed painting on the face of the sled..just a cheery red. I added a bough of poinsettas and jinglebells at the top with a pair of gold painted skates. I have painted little scenes before on skates, but this I thought just needed a burst of color for an entryway. It adds a great pop of color and a very sweet nostalgic touch to warm up a home ! Have some fun with an old sled of yours that perhaps you still have tucked in the rafters of a garage along with old skates. It would make a lovely thoughtful gift for a family member, too !
