PUT A LITTLE "SPICE" IN YOUR WORKROOM!!!

I used rub-ons to apply a design to the front of the spice bottle.  The lids are old knobs and some of my favorite buttons are tied around the tops with ribbon.

I love finding thrift items to help me keep my crafting supplies organized.  I often pick up old spice bottles and embelish them to my liking.  I was thrilled to find this little silver stand on one junking trip that displays these spice bottles just perfectly.

eveh writes: I love these little sets too. I collect corks so if I find a set that doesn't have tops, I can use corks. I will have to start looking for pretty knobs for some of them. I love the old buttons on ribbon, tied around the neck. So vintage looking. Posted: 2:49 pm on March 23rd

MimiToria writes: Janis- Your button holder/display is equisite. Very nicely done. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a cruet like that to hold the bottles I currently have like yours, but mine are housed in a shoe box. Not quite as pretty. lol
You create the most beautiful things. Wish we lived in the same country at least, or same state would even be better.

snowyowl writes: I love this. I love these when I see them. I have a friend with several of these that are very old with all of the original bottles and silverware utensils - such an elegant presentation - why shouldn't we store supplies in such beauty and art. Speaks of an era gone by but the grace and charm brought back again. love it. Posted: 8:52 pm on March 22nd

shabbychick writes: Janis - you are amazing! I have one of those sets too - on my desk downstairs - with beads and stuff inside - but, you've done yours up so elegantly (might have to pretty-up mine...). I love the knobs for lids - it's all very nicely done my friend (as always)!!

Beautiful as always!

texasjunkermom writes: Absolutely beautiful! The knobs that look like lids for the spice jars--looks like they fit perfectly. You did a great job of prettying-up (is that a word?) the jars with ornamental buttons and pretty ribbon. Love it. This would work with lots of other stuff in the jars too.
