I found the gurney years ago at the Alameda Point Antiques and Collectibles Fair (a MUST-DO for all you serious Junkers) and have had it in storage since we closed our garden store years ago. I thought it would work perfectly as the "sideboard" against the blue wall.
The lawnmover blade lamp looks great shining up on the "gather" sign and shining down on one of my favorite Wisdom Gals.
Unfortunately, my office doesn't have any windows looking outside, so decided to create that feeling by painting the back wall blue and then all other walls a soft butter yellow.
I've created a gallery wall along the left side of the room and rotate my art every month or so.
Here are some links to the details about the following pieces:
Hands
Pencils
Dominoes
This is a wonderful surveyor's ruler that measures about 5 feet long. I mounted it on the wall then put some cool children's bowling pins I purchased at Geo's fabulous store.
The doctor's cabinet was a fabulous find at the salvage yard. It was in great shape, so I just cleaned it up and now use it to house my office supplies and stationary and have the printer on the bottom shelf.
Below it is Sophie in her favorite bed. Yes, I get to bring her to work every day!
And on top of it is my "Christopher Robin" sculpture standing on two old wood foundry molds and housed in a glass cloche.
Here's a shot of the inside of the cabinet.

I've been a busy bee with my office re-junking project and am really happy with the results so far. In this post I show my medical cabinet printer and office supply cabinet, my gurney "side board" and some fun art along the way...
The next posting will be of my "new" desk. Stay tuned!

The desk project is still underway - a little daunting but I have no fear it will work out great in the end. I'll be posting more soon.
Thanks again!

Your office is a fabulous reflection of your art and love of junking. I truly love everything in it (especially the gurney as it is my namesake!!).

I think my favorite art piece is the 'hand' one although the pencils do run a close second... Posted: 10:04 am on February 28th
