My Latest Salvage Yard Haul

The impeller is something Ive been eying for the longest time and finally broke down and bought it. At 60 pounds of solid aluminum and close to 3 feet across it was a little spendy, but will make a fabulous wall hanging or table top.
The tailgate shot shows some great gears/cogs/fabricated pieces that will become stands for my art and/or are pretty neat just the way they are.
This crown-looking piece was the find of the day.
Side view of the fab crown piece.
I also found a total of 26 wonderful letters and will be bringing them home as I can afford it. Here is our mini-Dachshund Sophie modeling one of the O’s. And Geo made a great G E O out of the ones I got for her! Thanks goodness they created a lay-away plan for me!

Well, the last couple visits to my favorite salvage yard produced some wonderful round-shaped finds and fabulous letters!

Looks like you made a haul, and now it will be fun to watch and see what Jenny K creates with all of this metal. You go girl!

MelHow writes: The impeller is awesome and I am so glad Sophie modeled for you as it gives a wonderful way for us to gain perspective on the size of the letters (which I am extremely envious of). Is Sophie a miniature Dachsy or a full=size? (I think Dachshunds are adorable). Posted: 9:47 am on February 28th
