This was a fun project I found this little slipper chair at the Sacramento Flea Market and it sat and sat. I redecorated my bedroom and have the perfect place for it. SO I made a cover for it.
The before seat and fabric
You can barely see the legs with all the sewing supplies in the background. They are very short and the chair sits low to the ground. From the 1940's. The legs were covered in the same lovely green brocade.
The legs
The finished product. I decided not to recover the frame. It was clean and very comfortable and sturdy. I sprayed it with lysol and vacuumed it and it was good to go. Besides no one knows the difference. The hem is 13" off the floor so you can tell it's very low to the ground. Well now you guys do. It was so much fun and only took me two evenings or less.

Taking a Flea Market find and making it into something so pretty and useable is really rewarding. I love to sew and this little chair is not my first. The front is just an apron and the back is just slipped over with a long panel. The apron ties in the back.

Nice re-cover-y job! Love the very feminine fabric!
