unfinished back on secretary desk
February 27th, 2009 in member junkThis antique secretary desk was given to me by my mother, the unfinished insides had always bothered me as they were very dark and ugly. I had been tossing around ideas of what to do to brighten up the inside. This cabinet sits in my dinette area and holds tea items, so I decided to line the inside walls and backk with pages cut from a damaged antique cookbook, glueing them on with watered down elmers glue. I have hung some antique crocheted potholders and hotpads on the walls and put my tea items back inside. It is a little crowded (guess I need to have a tea party).

hat a wonderful idea to line the secretary with old cook book pages. Love it. I'll be right over for that tea party. Welcome to JUNKMARKET style. Have fun on the site.
