A place for some bling!

A place for some bling!

A place for some bling!

"What are you gonna do with a broken hall tree?"  Well, that's what my girlfriend asked me...  And, I knew it wasn't lost forever...(actually, I knew what it could be the moment I saw it).  I found a wooden dish at the Goodwill (what a great place for pieces and parts), and attached the two, a little paint, and a jewelry caddy was born!

shabbychick writes: Rachel, I'll see what I can do about some pics! The room I took the "finished" picture in is my own tv/dressing/sewing/craft/"no men allowed" - because everything is pink and white room!!! I love it! I've also taken over half of the basement with a workroom/storage area. It's not quite as pretty - a whole lotta junk going on down there!! :)

P.S. Belinda and I are still doing our junk swap! We're gonna meet at the end of September for the switcheroo!! (only 30 miles apart - cool, huh??) Hope to see another one for the holidays??! Posted: 3:23 pm on August 27th

shabbychick writes: Thanks Lanette & Stacey! I'm planning on selling this piece at a show next month...but now I'm having second thoughts... Maybe I'll have to find another hall tree to break! (ha ha)

Lanette, I know what you mean about jewelry - and holders (I've got a few)...I just don't like hiding it in a box!

Take care, Kathy Posted: 8:23 am on August 26th

shabbychick writes: Thanks for the comments - I like how the finish turned out too - some sagey green paint, kind of "white-wiped/washed", and then a satin stain. Just playing in the paints!!! :)

italianpeasant - I found the website. I'm going to tell my girlfriends, we may be over that way! Do you live in Wooster? I'm 30 miles away.
