I painted this old brown frame cranberry, added wrapping paper strips in the indentations for accent, and then highlighted with gold paint. The picture is actually taken from a magazine (not an antique).
I loved this frame, but the paint was almost all worn off and the details lost. I painted and antiqued it, and then matted these greeting cards to display in our upstairs bathroom.

I frequently come home from my thrift store jaunts with forlorn old frames. I enjoy restoring or re-imagining them and finding just the right pictures to put in them. These are just a couple of the ones that I've done.
