An altered doll that I made in a class I took with JoAnna of Moss Hill Studios.  Her face is actually an old plastic doll head that has been altered to look like porcelain.  The body is an old yarn spool and her wings are an old door pull.

junkinyaya writes: Thank you so much ladies for your sweet comments! I have been so busy with the store, studio and new designs for the spring and keeping up with my blog; that I haven't had a chance to visit.

But, I was so proud of doing something "outside of my art box" with this doll. That I just had to share it!

JoAnna (Moss Hill Studios) is offering her "trade secrets" in her online class. You can join her here:

georgiamoon writes: Hey this reminds me of working with Jenny in the lab. Our figures are usually much junkier cause we use metal stuff but this is adorable. How do you make the faces look like porcelain? I have a bunch of Santa heads that would be cool to do that to. I have plenty of time so, if it's not a secret, I might do this. Thanks, Georgia Posted: 7:14 pm on February 19th
