After: Primed, painted and covered with a rich looking wallpaper. The little detail on the front is half a wine cork over a piece of rusty metal and a couple decorative nail heads. The original top was cracked, so I made a new one. (The top slides open). Lots of room for storage.

I was the happy winning bidder of this old wooden filing cabinet at a school auction. The tightening panel on the inside still slid and when moved there was about a 2" opening down the center of the bottom. My hunch was right and incredibly, wine glass stems slid in perfectly. The goblets hung down far enough to be seen on the underside. (You can see four wine goblets in the photo). Wine bottles fit perfectly on the bottom shelf. Added bonus - it had wheels! A Junk Fest shopper grabbed the tag off this "wine caddie" at last year's sale.
