The 'Before' shot.... yipes!

Yesterday, I was inspired to take an old (and hideously ugly) painting and embellish it. I added paper, paint, glitter, beads, vintage ribbons, and flowers to it, and just started layering things on to the canvas, over the original paint. After it was dry, I used a black artist pencil to shade and add contrast to some areas.

Not only was it a very creative exercise and LOTS of fun, it turned out so well that now this painting will hang on a wall... instead of being shoved in a closet!
