wooden hoop, piece of cork cut to fit & a piece of fabric.

Sometimes it's really simple things that catch your eye.........in the Junk Beautiful book I loved the little area that Sue created for her daughter, and one thing that really caught my eye was a wooden embroidery hoop leaning against the wall.  I have been looking for an extra large one ever since and finally found it!!! 

I turned the hoop into a bulletin board using a piece of cork and fabric.
